About Jacob:
Jacob is one of Bella Swan’s best and oldest friends. When Bella came to Forks for her summer visits with her father, her, Jacob, and his twin older sisters, were always together. When Bella moves back to Forks, she meets Jacob again and flirts with him to get information on the Cullens out of him. By telling her the old Quileute legends, Jacob introduces the idea that the Cullens are vampires.
When out of the blue, the Cullens leave, Bella is heartbroken and Jacob is there to help her through her rough time. Jacob, who has long had a crush on Bella, is delighted in their new friendship and the two of them begin to spend all their time together.
Jacob is one of an ancient line of werewolves, a member of the Quileute tribe that has forever been the mortal enemy of vampires, even the relatively innocent Cullen family. At first Jacob believes it is all legend, and is frightened and disturbed by the influence a young man on the reservation, Sam Uley has on some of the Quileute youth. But when Jacob himself makes the change in response to a new vampire threat, he learns that Sam went through his own werewolf hardships and that the Quileute legends about werewolves and vampires are indeed true. As young werewolves are short-tempered, highly violent, and likely to explode into wolf form when provoked to anger, Jacob, prompted by his new pack, agrees that he should stay away from Bella. He becomes busy patrolling the forest with his pack, searching for the vampires in the area who are killing local hikers, but later states that he had secretly kept watch on Bella and made sure she was safe by running around her house at night. When Bella is caught by the vampire Laurent alone in a clearing, she is saved by Jacob and the pack, who manage to run Laurent off and kill him. After, Bella pays a visit to Jacob after he doesn’t return her calls. She than finds out his secret and they return to spending time together.
When Edward returns, Jacob develops a hatred for the Cullens and vampires in general, blaming them for his transformation and for that of the rest of the pack; when discussing the Cullens and other vampires, he often uses derogatory nicknames for them such as "bloodsuckers," "leeches," and "parasites."
After a while, with Edward's approval, Bella begins to visit Jacob on a regular basis. Jacob invites Bella to come with him to a Quileute bonfire, and she accepts. Jacob and Bella spend the night with the pack and their families and listen to a telling of tribal legends about vampires and werewolves. On one of the later visits, Jacob tells Bella that he loves her and that he wants her to choose him over Edward. Than, Jacob kisses Bella against her will. After, Bella stops spending time with Jacob, until the Cullens need them to fight an army of evil new born vampires.
When Jacob overhears Edward and Bella discussing their marriage plans, Jacob is heart broken and he tells Bella while her heart is still beating, he will be fighting. When he and his father get an invitasion to the wedding, Jacob runs away and finds himself returning in time to be there for his best friend and true love Bella. At the wedding, Jacob, Bella and Edward get into and argument and Jacob runs away again. This time he returns to find Bella pregnant, with a half vampire baby killing her slowly from the inside. Jacob hates this baby because it is killing Bella and he knows once she has this baby, she will have to be turned into a vampire to save her.
After baby Renesmee is born, and Jacob believes Bella is dead, he is set on killing the child. When he finally lays his eyes on her, he realizes she has Bella’s eyes, and he can’t harm it because he has imprinted on her. At first, Edward and Bella are against this, but after they realize they truly trust Jacob with there baby and he would always take care of Renesmee.
